Listed
residential developer Gant announced in early June it would raise the price of
flats on offer in three projects, one in Kraków and two in Wrocław.
According
to Dariusz Małaszkiewicz, Gant’s CEO, the company has seen "excellent"
sales results recently which led to the price increase, while other developers
on these local markets have been forced to offer incentives in order to drive
sales.
"Sales in April alone accounted for 50 percent of results from the entire
first quarter," boasts Małaszkiewicz. He adds that prices could go up in
other Gant projects, should the positive sales trend continue.
The price increase in the Kraków project is €60 per sqm, and Gant's customers
will pay €40 more per sqm on average in the two Wrocław projects.
Małaszkiewicz hopes the increases won't flatten the dynamics of sales. In the
case of one Wrocław project located in the northeastern part of the city by
Gorlicka Street, even with the higher prices the offers are still attractive,
starting at a mere €1,360 per sqm. Rates on the other Wrocław project, which is
on the more centrally located Pomorska Street, now begin at €2,360 per sqm. To
buy a flat in the Pod Fortem estate in Kraków, the third project experiencing
price increases, one has to pay at least €1,750 per sqm.
All three projects are now under development, with completion scheduled towards
the end of the year.
